What did the goddess Persephone?

The daughter of Zeus and Demeter, who was abducted by Hades and forced to be his wife. She ate 6 pomegranate seeds, so 6 months ever year she is in the Underworld, and the other half with her mother.

Persephone was related to Demeter the god of the harvest. One day she was dancing in the sunny meadows and picking flowers with her friends. When suddenly her very scary uncle Hades(god of the underworld) emerged up from the ground and grabbed Persephone then put her in the carriage. As soon as they got to the underworld Hades askes her to marry him so she could become the goddess of the underworld. But all Persephone wanted was to go back home not stay in the underworld so she did not eat or drink for days. Meanwhile, her mother Demeter was looking for her everywhere but then she gave up and went to ask her brother Zeus (king of the gods) who also was Persephone's father. She asked him to help find Persephone. Zeus, sitting way up there on top of Mount Olympus, was able to see where Persephone was. He told Hades to give her back but Hades said he would only give Persephone back if she had really not eaten or drunk anything from the land of the dead. Persephone had not eaten much, but it turned out she had eaten six pomegranate seeds. So they agreed that Persephone could spend six months a year above ground with her mother, but she would have to spend the other six months in the land of the dead with her uncle/husband. And that is how it has been since then, according to the story that's why we have the seasons.
