When Remus Lupin came to Shell Cottage he asked Harry Potter to be Teddy Lupin's godfather. Just after Fleur Delacour asked who the baby looked like and Lupin explained to her that like Nymphadora Tonks, Teddy was a metamorphmagus.
He said the baby was born with black hair, but an hour later in was ginger. He joked it would probably be blonde by the time he returned home to him. Later at the Hogwarts' battle, Lupin pulled out a picture to show Harry and Fleur and it was mentioned that Teddy had a tuft of turquoise blue hair.
In an article published by Time magazine, JK Rowling was asked if Teddy was a werewolf. Her response was, " No he was a Metamorphmagus, like Tonks (who, incidentally, was a Hufflepuff)."

He was named after Tonks' father and, of course, Remus. He was best known as Teddy.
