Who is a famous person that is a good role model for youth and why?

• I would have to say that I used Bill Cosby in his show. He helped me to show my kids that there is life out there, and to be prepared for it. They have learned a lot from his show. How to treat other people and how important it is to get ready for life when growing up. Thanks to his show My daughter is preparing for college, next year, without me having to be down her throat or pushing her. She also knows how to manage money for her future. We do things as a family and have fun doing it. Good Luck, and if I can think of someone else I will let you know.
• I want to go into the music business, so I use Amy Lee of Evanescence as my role model. I like that she speaks out about how the way some singers use sex appeal is wrong. Great musician, sweet personality... seems like a nice person and a great role model.
• As this question concerns, "Youth Sports", I think a sports role model is certainly not astray. Of course, no one is perfect, but I think that a very good role model for youth today is Roger Federer - in his humility, unflustered and friendly manner. Other good role models overall, might be Michael Jordan, John Newcombe or Evonne Goolagong-Cawley, with their wonderful, outgoing manners and being good-natured dispositions, or or 'golden oldies' with excellent manners, strong morals and solid codes of ethics, such as Rod Laver or Pete Sampras, or golfer Johnny Miller.
• In a way, everyone has different personality types and they may choose a role model which someone may think is inappropriate. The only ting that matters if they have a good role model which helps them strive to be a better person and which helps someone to reach their goals.
