Halo Reach is the last Halo being made by Bungie. 343 Industries is taking over for them as they have the rights. They have announced the next game in the series, Halo 4.
Why is 343 industries taking over halo?
Because the Halo franchise is owned by Microsoft, not Bungie. And Bungie wanted to break away from Microsoft, who owned them, and so since Halo is such a big thing Microsoft made 343 to do everything halo, since halo belongs to Microsoft.
