There have been several good Earhart Biographers. a Man named Briand ( I think Paul) did a good laudatory biography of her called Daughter of the Stars 9this is the literal translation of Shenandoah, an Indian name and a famous USN Blimp-actualy rigid airship with sheet-metal frame. Recently there have been many , a vitural cyclone of Earhart lore some not too accurate. The Lost Star is a good one by a media commentator and went into many printings, Letters from Amelia by Jean backus scores the Aviatrix"s epistolary output quite interesting. Fred Goerner wrote the Search for Amelia Earhart around l967-the thirtieth anniversary. Amelia"s sister Muriel Earhart Morrisey did two biographies of(My Courageous sister). som,ewhat oddly to me, The Lost Star sounds more like a mystery about a movie actress or, maybe better yet the titlle of an Opera, in Italian it would be La Stella Traviata.
