General Walker was in comand at the start of the war in June 1950. After he was killed in a Jeep accident General Ridgway took over comand. General MacArthur was overall commander of the Far East and was of course over Walker and Ridgway. It was his decision to go all the way into North Korea after being warned by the Chinese that if he did, they would enter the war. Which they did, and we had to " BUG OUT ", I called it " ADVANCING TO THE REAR ".
