Judaism is strictly monotheistic and we worship God, The Creator. In daily conversation we call Him "HaShem" ("the Name"), in order to avoid using His actual (Hebrew) name, which is used only in blessings and prayers.

Answer:Judaism has only One God, who is the creator of heaven and earth (Genesis 24:3, Deuteronomy 6:4). Answer:Judaism has only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4), and has never had more than one.

Jews have a large number of names for God, but Jews also have a tradition of not pronouncing the proper name of God. So, Jews just say "the Name" (ha-Shem in Hebrew), or they use euphemisms such as "my Lord" (Adonai in Hebrew). Other names such as El and Ya are pronounced and are common in certain phrases (the name Michael is really the sentence "who is like El" and the word Halleluya is really the command "praise Ya"). When talking about the divine name in scholarly circles, the name is called the Tetragrammaton, a Greek word meaning "the four letter name." Hundreds of years ago, English scholars guessed that the Tetragrammaton was pronounced Jehovah. This is so thoroughly wrong as to be laughable. More recent speculations might be more accurate, but they are only guesses, as it has been close to 2000 years since Jews have pronounced the name. Today, Christians who pronounce the name in the presence of Jews generally just make the Jews feel awkward and it lends no sense of authenticity to any Jewish Christian dialogue.
