Who is the narrator on Thomas the tank engine?
Lots of people have been narrators throughout this series. The first "guest appearance" was made in the earlier seasons by Ringo Starr. This was followed by Readings by Michael Angelis, George Carlin, Alec Baldwin, and now even Pierce Brosnan. These are some pretty big names for a children's show.

Thomas wasn't originally in the first book which was created in1945 but he came in the second book in 1946 and later in 1984 Brittalcroft made all the characters into a TV ser…ies its so far been 17series and 8 movies

Ringo Starr narrated Season 1 and Season 2 for both British and American audiences. After he left, George Carlin narrated Seasons 3 and 4 for American audiences and also re-na…rrated Seasons 1 and 2. Michael Angelis was and still is the British Narrator having started in S3. For Seasons 5 and 6, Alec Baldwin narrated in America and Thomas and The Magic railroad was the first time individual voice actors were used. After he left, Michael Angelis was the narrator for one video release followed by Michael Brandon who is still he American narrator. For The Great Discovery, Pierce Brosnan narrated for both audiences. As of now the American and British versions have completely different casts and the characters have individual actors although Brandon and Angelis are still the narrators.

I seem to recall former Beatle Ringo Starr, in somewhat unfamiliar RR conductor"s costume blues- served as narrator on the ( Shining Time) variant of the program you mention. …Ringo was the drummer of the Beatles, but did write the more or less nonsense song ( Octopus"s Garden) which was in Abbey Road, the famous album.
