How much would a person have to pay for dentures? And would it be cheaper to get to pair?
Prosthetics are basically artificial "replacements" for a body part. Dentures are a prosthetic for someone who lost all his or her teeth. It helps the person be able to chew (masticate) food and prepare it for the digestive system. Dentures also improve self-esteem and a person's appearance. Other common prosthetics are ones for below the knee or above the knee amputations, or loss of a hand or arm (above or below the elbow. These allow people to independently dress (hands) or to carry a child (arms) or to walk (legs). As well, hearing aids could loosely be thought of as a prosthetic-enhancement for hearing. When a person can't hear, it can create a fearful and isolated existance, but hearing aids returns a person to an almost normal state.
In the US the average age for getting dentures is 40 years old.

Because "ALL" dentures are custom made and it is extremely unhygienic to reuse a denture it is never recommended to reuse any part of the dentures. The dentures should be disposed of. Usually in most cases the undertaker will take care of this unless the person was not wearing the dentures when they deceased.
When a person looses their teeth, dentures are both cosmetic and preventative. Dentures are cosmetic as a replacement for missing teeth, and a preventative measure to prevent choking on food items.
If a person has no teeth, this does not necessarily have to be a problem. If a person has no teeth, they can get dentures, or they can eat soft foods.
