There are no prophets in Christianity. Jesus said "Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them." The New Covenant which came into effect at the Last Supper "'this cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood." (Luke Ch.22) guarantees that, since it came into effect, there will be no more intermediaries like Moses and the Prophets because the consequences of the sin of Adam no longer apply and God again deals personally with each one of His people.

The New Covenant:"Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant which they broke, though I was their husband, says the Lord. But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each man teach his neighbour and each his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, says the Lord; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more."(Jeremiah Ch 31)

Answer:

The word "Christianity" isn't in the Bible. And the word "Christian" was a label put on the early disciples of God BY MEN:

"...Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul (Paul): and when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch." (Acts 11:25-26)

This was in the days when Paul raised up the Gentile churches of God. He didn't have what some might call today, a "Christian King James Bible" from which to teach the people. He taught them from the ancient scriptures he learned at the feet of Gamaliel, a doctor of the law (Acts 5:34 & Acts 22:3)... along with the enlightenment he received directly from Jesus, Himself, (Acts 22:14).

The "prophets of Christianity" are the prophets found in the same "Old Testament" Bible we use today, from which Paul taught the churches. Jesus, Himself, testifies to them and acknowledges their authority:

"...These are the Words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and IN THE PROPHETS, and in the Psalms, CONCERNING ME. Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures..." (Luke 24:44-45).

What prophetic scriptures were they given to understand, that concerned Jesus? The Old Testament.

Moses, the major and minor prophets and the Psalms of the Old Testament are the "prophets of Christianity."

A prophet was someone who acted as an intermediary between God and His people. Jesus said "Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them." So with the coming into effect of the New Covenant at the Last Supper "'this cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood." (Luke Ch.22) there will be no more intermediaries like Moses and the Prophets because the consequences of the sin of Adam no longer apply and God again deals personally with each one of His people.

AnswerProphet Jesus and all other preceded prophets, including Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Ishmael, Jacob, Joseph, Moses , David, Solomon, and other prophets in the old testament.

The prophet, by definition, is the one who is assigned and selected by God, the Creator, to receive God revelations and convey these revelations to people. Accordingly, Jesus is the prophet per God revelation of The Bible on which the Christian religion is based. The same way, Moses is the prophet per God revelation of the Torah on which the Judaism religion is based and Muhammad is the prophet per God revelation of Quran on which Islam religion is based. As Jesus is sent by God to complement Moses mission and to correct for the deviations and alterations introduced into Moses mission, Muhammad is sent by God to correct for the deviations and alterations introduced into Moses and Jesus missions.

Jesus is far more than a remarkable teacher or prophet. He himself said clearly that He was God. He made His identity the focal point of His teaching. The all important question He put to those who followed Him was, "Who do you say I am?" When Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God"1, Jesus was not shocked, nor did He rebuke Peter. On the contrary, He commended him; "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven." On another occasion Jesus said, "I and My Father are One." 2 Knowing Jesus as the Son of God is not something that happens by the mere mental and emotional powers resident in human nature. There must be a divine work of grace. You listen to his Word, his story (Luke 9:35). And you pray for the revelation of the Father-the eyes to see the glory (Mark 9:24). And by grace you believe and triumph.

Answer

On Lets start with prophecy is something any believer may proclaim as telling forth God's word, however this does not make him a prophet which is used in a very restrictive sense in the Bible and prophets are placed side by side with the Apostles as the foundation of the NT Church. In the restrictive sense of the word Prophet, Christ was the last Prophet. Any prophecies made by the Apostles as Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 are things told to them by Christ. The test of a prophet is what he says that comes to pass. There were many things fortold by Edgar Cayce but Satan works that part of the street too It is the religious spirited Christians who give themselves titles as apostle or prophet, these were divine offices, who appointed the 12 Apostles and the minor and major Prophets? If God qualified them what flesh can come behind him and do the same? Not even the Pope has added that to his own attributes.

Answer:

The Old Testament was the whole Bible in the days of Jesus' mortality. From these scriptures He preached to the crowds and taught His disciples about Himself. From these scriptures Paul preached Christ, the Kingdom of God, and established the faithful Gentile communities for which he was commissioned. From these scriptures Peter and the apostles preached and taught Christ and spread the good news of the coming Kingdom of God to the lost tribes of the House of Israel to whom they were sent.

Jesus broke these scriptures down into three main categories: the books of Moses, the prophets, and the Psalms. Of all three He says:

"...these are the words which I spake unto you... that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the Law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the Psalms, CONCERNING ME." (Luke 24:44)

Therefore, the prophets of Christ are the prophets recorded in the Bible... the Christ centered quotes and writings and teachings of whom are found throughout the New Testament.

"For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in Me, 'And He was reckoned among the transgressors': for the things concerning Me have an end" (Luke 22:37 & Isa.53:12).
