Who is the actress in the beano commercial?

Answer 1: I believe it is Kirsten Nelson.

Answer 2: If we're talking about the bespectacled, thin, redhead, then it's definitely not Kirsten Nelson (see the "sources and related links," below). The name of the woman who's actually doing the Beano commercials is unknown to me at the moment; but when I learn it (and I've sent an email to the ad agency, so it should be soon), I'll post it, here.

UPDATE: It only took five more minutes of research. The actress's name is Mindy Bell. See, again, the "sources and related links," below, for her photo on a talent agency website. And once I saw that it was a Chicago talent agency, I suspected she was a graduate of Chicago's famous Second City; and from a couple of articles I found out there, sure enough, she is... back in 1985. Being from Chicago, I should have spotted the accent in the commercial (actually, I did, but I'm so used to it that I didn't think anything of it). Sadly, I'm having trouble remembering her; I was frequently in the audience at Second City back in those days. I notice that she's listed as an alum on the Second City website, but with no photo or bio information.

There's another actress (who's also a singer-songwriter) named Mindy Bell: not the same person as who does the Beano commercials. I've linked to the website of the other Mindy Bell (the actress-singer-songwriter) in the "sources and related links" area, below.
