∙ 10y agoThere is no specified rival in the game however since the main character Wes was formerly part of Team Snagem then Team Snagem and it's leader Gonzap would be the rivals for the game.

Also, some action replay codes you use for Pokemon pearl can have side effects like deleting items that you get that you didn't have before and sometimes, battling you rival everyday. This happened to me and his location changes to the place where you got off the boat in the Fight Area.
