Who gave India its independence?

The history of Freedom Struggle started with Swami Dayanand Saraswati with his Nationalist and Reformatory movement. Thereafter, a movement started infusing the spirits enunciated by him into the people of the country.

Following the inspirations given by the Swami, the First war of Independence had begun with Rani Luxmi Bai, Nanaji and others. With the revolt in the so named Mutiny, the fire became big.

Thereafter thousands of martyres sacrificed their lives in the country and also abroad in that struggle.

The struggle culminated in the final strokes of INA Netaji Subhash Chander Bose leading one part and Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Nehru and party leading the other.

Destiny favored the latter and Gandhi and party got the credit.

That was also a political destiny that Mahatma Gandhi who never approved the decision of Partition of the Country had to submit, but this submission though with protest gave him the title of Father of the Nation - Rashtrapita

Many people have different views regarding the independence of India. Although, the fact of the independence is beyond the imagination.

The actual reason why Britain left the Subcontinent is "Second World War" that was started in Sept 01, 1939 and ended on Sept 02, 1945. Astonishingly the independence was even occurred during that decade that is on August 15, 1947.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who was leading his professional career as barrister in England took advantage of world war and began his struggle for independence of Muslim Community in undivided subcontinent upon persistent request of Dr. Allam Iqbal (who had written the famous national song of India).

Being a rational and wise barrister, he used all such tactics to create panic for the British regime in the region that forces them to leave the region, because at that time British were fighting against several states at a time.

Some people also believe that the Hitler was found lucky for Indians as he indirectly helped them by oppressing Britain.
