The first man to theorize that the Earth revolved around the sun is believed to be Nicolas Copernicus. In the 1500s he speculated that rather than the sun circling the Earth, the Earth may actually orbit the sun.

It was postulated by Copernicus in his 'Book of Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres' published in 1543. It simplified the geometry of the solar system and explained retrograde motion of the planets, and was presented as the absolute truth by Galileo in his quarrel with the Catholic heirarchy, but it was never shown as being the most likely scenario until more sophisticated ideas of dynamics were formed after Newton's Laws of motion were produced later.

Which astronomers is credited as the first to theorize the planets orbit around the Sun?

The astronomer credited as the first to theorize that the planets orbit around the Sun (heliocentrism) is Nicolaus Copernicus. He developed the heliocentric model of the solar system, which proposed that the Sun was at the center and the planets, including Earth, revolved around it in circular orbits. This theory was a departure from the earlier geocentric model, which posited that Earth was at the center of the universe and everything orbited around it. Copernicus's work laid the foundation for the modern understanding of the solar system's structure and motion.

What two scientist believed that the earth revolved around the sun?

Many scientists believed this. Nicolaus Copernicus was the first to propose this idea however, and many other scientists believed in his theory as well, such as Johannes Kepler, Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton, and so on.

When did Aristotle make his geocentric model?

Sometime between 384 BC (when he was born) and - 322 BC (when he died). Most assuredly he was not the first to think that everything revolved around him (or his neighborhood)!

How would the tides on earth be different if the moon revolved around the earth in 15 days instead of 30 days?

Well, first of all, the moon revolves around the Earth every 27.3 days, not 30, and we see a complete cycle of "phases" every 29.53 days. -- Right now, the tides go high -- low -- high -- low every 24hours 49minutes on the average, so each extreme follows the preceding extreme by about 6hours 12minutes. -- If the moon revolved in the same direction but in half the time, then each extreme would follow the preceding extreme by about 6 hours 24 minutes, with the complete "daily" cycle averaging 25 hours 36 minutes. Of course the high tides would be higher and the lows would be lower, because in order to revolve around the Earth more often, the moon would need to be in a smaller orbit.
