When Jesus went into Jerusalem to the Temple he saw all the sinful trading and money changing going on he turned over the tables and as God he said you are defiling my temple. He turned the place upside down when he chewed out their ears. They knew they were sinning and not doing according to the holy scriptures. It is possible they cleaned up their act after that raging action of righteousness and holiness against all that sin.
