Anybody who simply listens to Metal or anybody from other genres of music would probably say the Metal is just music. Some arrogant idiots with no taste wouldn't even call it music, but i, being a true Metal Head through and through, and i speak here on behalf of all true Metal heads, know that Metal isn't just the most amazing and most beautiful music alive, it is with out a doubt a way of life. To belong to such a group of people, true Metal heads, is a honer to die for!
Just my opinion but I would say Heavy Metal.
Very much so. Go to just about any heavy metal site and you will probably find a large active community of passionate metal heads.
You can't you just will have to live with it. Just don't hate him because of the music that's all. You could simply ask him not to play it out loud when you're around if he accepts (and if he cares enough about you then he would). By the way, heavy metal isn't garbage. You probably don't have the greatest music taste to appreciate it or some form of it.
Ozzy Osbourne is a metal vocalist. He was in the band Black Sabbath, who invented heavy metal, and since then has continued being metal. In Sabbath his stuff was more like doom metal, but his solo work is traditional metal.
This is the same kind of question why the neanderthal man invented the fire - because humankind is curious and loves to experiment. Heavy Metal was developed because the former genre Rock wasn't the kind of thing that people liked or atleast they wanted something heavier - Black Sabbath, one of the first Heavy Metal Bands developed Heavy Metal from Rock and opened a new age of music.

yes, they are sensitive to loud music (like heavy metal or just too loud) or sharp pitch noises.

To be honest, I like all music genres. Sometimes, heavy metal is to much for me since they are pretty much screaming and I have a hard time understand the lyrics.
No. Metal is not dead.Infact I just saw Metal at a bar bout a week ago...hes just fine
Disturbed is a heavy metal band. Heavy metal and metal are one in the same. THey mean the same thing. Disturbed is not Nu metal, they don't rap (they only thought 'cause he sang really fast), they don't have turntables, Disturbed is an awesome band nonetheless though. \,,/ "We probably have too much melody going on or we're not quite as turbulent or caustic. While I really love that type of music, it's not what we try to do. If we have to place things in context, we're more hard rock than heavy metal these days." - David Draiman

People do not commit suicide based on suggestions contained in music. They do so because they are depressed. Trying to blame it on music is just a way of displacing guilt because problems were not recognized and proper steps were not taken.
I wouldn't say so. Heavy metal does not cause depression, just as any kind of music does not cause any long-term emotional problems. Rather, the way you feel affects what kind of music you to listen to. For example, if I'm feeling pretty good, I'll play a song that reflects that. If I'm feeling down, however, I'll put on something that uplifts me. I'm not saying that if you're depressed, you'll listen to heavy metal, because I'm perfectly happy and I love listening to heavy metal.
