∙ 12y agoCarl Perkins originally wrote the song "Blue Suede Shoes", but the first to record it was Elvis Presley. Sam Phillips, their record producer, thought Elvis would do better for the song. This angered Perkins at first, but Elvis and Carl ended working it out. It became a huge hit of Elvis's.
