"Pata Pata" was writen by Dorothy Masuka. Miriam Makeba did a cover of the song years later. "Pata Pata," became Makeba's signature tune, it was written by Dorothy Masuka and recorded in South Africa in 1956 before eventually becoming a major international hit for Makebe in 1967.
