it was started by carl dj hazze gilkey aka zulu boogie hazze from from legendary break dance crew called air force crew. in the the 80's carl gilkey formed the break dance team called flash n crew. carl being a fast runner was called flash by many friends at school so he put together flash n crew. Carl would add popping moves in his breaking and breaking in his popping. in 1984 is when he coined the phrase bropping which meant to break wile popping. he use to say it to all the guys when they would train and if you trained with him you knew what it meant. in 1997 bropping was seen in in the uk for the first time when air force crew came to perform at fresh 97. there is also other poppers who do moves that could be called bropping like mr re, wavo matic,boogie frantick, mr fantastic,devious,green tech and salah. many other so called poppers seem to stay away from grounds moves in popping. now in 2012 seems like bropping is becoming a household name in the street dance community.
