There were two famous Brutii in the Roman Republic. One was active in removing the last king and was one of the two first consuls and the second Brutus was one of the assassins of Julius Caesar. There were also two Brutus brothers, Marcus ad Decius, who gave the first gladiatorial contest in Rome.

How does mark Antony become corrupt in Julius Caesar?

Wasn't he always? His toady-like adherence to Caesar was clearly a way to get himself in a position of power. With Caesar's death, that position was threatened, and so he took whatever steps he needed to in order to maintain his political status, including lying to Brutus and intentionally whipping up the mob to drive Brutus and the conspirators out of Rome.

What is Brutus's internal conflict.?

One of the senators closest to Julius Caesar, Brutus is highly principled and committed to what is best for Rome. When Caesar returns to the city after a successful military campaign, the citizens of Rome seem ready to offer him the position of emperor. Brutus wants to see Rome remain a republic and does not support the idea that Caesar should be named emperor. When Cassius asks Brutus to join the plot to assassinate Caesar, Brutus weighs his friendship with the leader against what he believes to be best for Rome. This is the basis of Brutus's internal conflict. Ultimately, Brutus decides that the needs of the republic supersede those of Caesar, and he takes part in the assassination of Caesar on the steps outside the Roman Senate.
