Many people have been executed in the Tower of London over the years, including some of England's most famous and notorious figures. Queen Anne Boleyn, Queen Catherine Howard, and Lady Jane Grey were all executed in the Tower of London. Other notable executions include:

  • Sir Thomas More - executed in 1535
  • Guy Fawkes - executed in 1606
  • William Wallace - executed in 1305

The Tower of London has also been used to execute many other lesser-known figures, often for political or religious reasons. During the English Civil War, many prominent figures of the Royalist side were executed in the Tower of London, including Edward Fairfax, Lord Goring, and Lord Capel.
