Martin Luther. He was a Catholic Priest.

Roman Catholic AnswerAlthough there is little evidence that Martin Luther was a priest, outside of his own testimony; but the dates given do not make sense. The usual dates give his ordination and first Mass on the same date - an impossibility. Other dates place his first Mass more than two months after his Ordination, which makes no sense whatsoever. Nevertheless, his is the name usually given to the start of the protestant revolt.
