Omurbek Toktogulovich Babanov was the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan at the start of 2012. Aaly Karashev was the Acting Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan from September 1 to 5. Zhantoro Satybaldiyev was the prime minister of the remainder of the year.



Babanov became the acting prime minister when previous Prime Minister Almazbek Atambayev temporarily stepped down for the presidential election in 2011 from Septebmer 23 to November 14, and also after Atambayev resigned the post of prime minister on December 1. Babanov was confirmed by the parliament on December 23.


Zhantoro Satybaldiyev has been the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan since 2012 September 5. He is an independent, and his appointment is hoped to bring back stability and confidence to the state.
