He was born on October 7, 1897 and died on February 25, 1975. He was an African American religious leader and activist. He was the leader of the Nation of Islam organization from 1934 until his death in 1975 (at age 77).
It is worthy to mention that Nation of Islam is an organization whos followers deny the basic main stream Islam principles. It is racist organization with different beliefs regarding God, Quran, prophet Muhammad, etc...

This organization, despite its name, follows principles that are not belonging to Islam. Followers of this organization are not considered Muslims since they deny basic Islam principles of faith in God, prophet Muhammad, etc.
