There were actually two Prime Ministers of Britain in 1757. William Cavendish, the 4th Duke of Devonshire served as British Prime Minister in 1757 until he resigned to become Lord Chamberlain in June 25 of that year. At that point, Thomas Pelham-Holles, 1st Duke of Newcastle became Prime Minister.

There were two Prime Ministers of Great Britain in 1763, all though the title did not exist at the time, only a loose equivalent. John Stuart, the 3rd Earl of Bute (Tory) was Prime Minister until April 8th. He was succeeded by George Grenville (Whig) Member of Parliament for Buckingham, on April 16th.
