Who was the verified tallest man of all time?
The tallest person in history for whom there is irrefutable evidence was Robert Pershing Wadlow who stood 8 ft 11.1 inches (2.72m). He had problems standing and had an operation to fit a brace to his leg. On July 4, 1940, while making a professional appearance at the National Forest Festival, a faulty brace irritated his ankle, causing a blister and subsequent infection. Doctors treated him with a blood transfusion and emergency surgery, but his condition worsened and on July 15, 1940, he died in his sleep. He was 22.
IS'NT THAT JUST SAD L.J
Despite many claims by different people through history, Shaun Aisbitt is the tallest medically verified living person standing at a little over 7'3" (2m 24cm). He was measured in 1985 at being 6' 11" by the Late Late show and won the title of the tallest man in Ireland at that time. His waxwork can be viewed in the Dublin waxwork museam. In 2001 at the age of 39 due to a condition of gigantism he started to grow again and is now medically verified at being over 7'3" (2m 24cm), his shoe size is 22, which is believed to be among the biggest in Europe. Due to back problems, various other medical conditions and poor circulation he is now in a wheelchair.
