In British history, there have been two kings named James. King James I, born 19th June 1566 and reigned as King of England from 24 July 1567 until his death on 27 March 1625, had seven children who survived beyond birth. Henry, Prince of Wales, born 19th February 1594, died 6 November 1612. Elizabeth, born 19 August 1596, died 13 February 1662. Margaret Stuart, born 24th December 1598, died March 1600. The aforementioned King Charles I was the father of King James II James II was born 14th October 1633, and reigned from 6th February 1685 until 11th December 1688. He was overthrown, or he abdicated, depending on your point of view, and lived until 16th September 1701. James II married twice and had children by both of his wives. Charles, Duke of Cambridge, born 7 November 1677, died 12 December 1677. Elizabeth, born and died in 1678 Charlotte Maria, born 16th August 1682, died 16 October 1682. James, Prince of Wales, born 10th June 1688, died 1st January 1766. Louisa Maria Teresa, born 28th June 1692, died 20 April 1712.

Henry . He was Prince of Wales and died of pneumonia!

Charles, Duke of York. Became P. of W,on his brothers premature death. Then king Charles the First, or King Charles the Martyr. He was executed by the Calvinist Parliament.

Elizabeth of Bohemia! married the Prince Palatinate and became the Queen of Bohemia for some two years and was forced to flee during the Thirty Years War!

Henry Frederick, Prince of Wales (1594-1612)

Elizabeth (1596-1662); later queen of Bohemia

Margaret (1598-1600)

Charles (1600-1649); later king Charles I

Robert (born and died 1602); died aged four months

a premature stillborn son (1603)

Mary (1605-1607)

Sophia (born and died 1606); died day after birth
