Because that is the maximum storage on the chip inside your pendrive that be stored. if you had a 12 GB chip on your pendrive and a code that altered the storage parameters then you could have a 12 GB pendrive

Quite frankly, I wouldn't. A DVD just doesn't hold enough data to be useful for "large amounts of storage". A regular DVD only holds about 4Gb of data. You would be much better off with something like a 1TB (or higher) USB drive.

But 4gb is still good for saving games on your disc but I would recommend a little higher at least around 120gb If you plan on downloading games on your hard drive.

You can store any files on a 4gb IPOD as if it was a USB drive by ENABLING DISK USE through ITUNES. They do not have to be music files to be stored. When you have ENABLED DISK USE you can access the IPOD from MY COMPUTER as if it was a harddrive or external drive and then drag your files over on to the IPOD.

Typically when using an Xbox 360, alot of extra content or dlc is purchased to enhance the gaming experience and memory is needed for that but if you were to only have save files 4gb should be plenty.
