You likely do not have the "Constant Power" wire connected at the back of your radio deck, it is often yellow in color.
You have enough battery power to power the radio, but not enough to turn over your engine. CHeck battery.
Turn on the ignition and do not start the engine. The light will come on unless the bulb is burnt out or someone has removed it.
You can take the "radio" fuse out and put it back in. This should work to reset eveverything.
turn the key
Unless you plan on replacing your radio, you have to take it to the dealership. This is for preventing theft.
turn the key once but don't start the engine for an hour to three.
Turn the ignition to the on position but do not start the engine. Leave it sitting like that for one hour. The radio should then switch out of safe mode and allow you to enter the correct code.
You may need to have your starter checked. If the radio comes on, then its not the battery. Does the truck make a clicking sound when you try to turn over the engine. If it makes a click -click noise when you try to start, then its not your starter.
In most cases, the engine will not fire or start if the clutch switch is bad. The key will turn in the ignition but there will be no turn-over or sound from the engine. If the engine turns over but doesn't start, there might be a problem with the fuel supply.
"TURNING OVER AN ENGINE" REFERS TO ROTATING THE CRANKSHAFT, USUALLY BY MEANS OF THE STARTER MOTOR AND THE RING GEAR, IF IT WAS AN OLDER ENGINE YOU COULD USE THE CRANK HANDLE THOUGH THESE WENT OUT OF FASHION DUE TO HIGHER CRANKING SPEED BEING REQUIRED TO START AN ENGINE. PUSHING THE VEHICLE (IF IT WAS MANUAL) WHILE IN GEAR WOULD ALSO TURN THE ENGINE OVER BUT MAKE SURE THE IGNITION WAS SWITCHED OFF UNLESS YOU WANT IT TO START.
The fuel pump will prime the Throtle body when you turn the key on. Do not dump gas down the hole unless you like fire and replacing wires.
If your battery has been disconnected or your fuse has been pulled /replaced, you have to reset your system. Turn your ignition key to run, but don't start your engine. leacve in the run position for at least 3 minutes, then turn the engine on and run for at least 30 seconds.
