Your brakes feel light and there is brake fluid leaking from rear disk brake on a peugeot 106 1994?
Just changed your front and rear brakes and shoes. The brake light turns on until you put in more brake fluid. The brakes feel if they were almost touching the floor at times. What could cause this?
Why don't any brake fluid go to the passenger side rear brakes?
What could be wrong with the ford E450 motor home the brakes are smoking but the emergercy brakes shows its off?
If the rear brakes are smoking, the parking brake cables may be frozen. The dash light may indicate that the parking brakes are released but the switch for the light is connected only to the parking brake lever NOT the actual parking brake shoe assembly. Another possible cause for rear brake lock-up is a malfunctioning rear brake proportioning valve. This valve controls hydraulic pressure to the rear brakes. Brake fluid absorbs moisture and should be changed on a regular basis. Vehicle inactivity and moisture in the brake fluid is a recipe for frozen or rusty brake components. Hope this helps you out!

Why would there b brake fluid all on the inside of the rear brake drum?
Why do the rear brakes on a 1992 Volvo seam to not work?
First, please understand that rear brakes do not work as hard as front brakes. The ratio of working is 60% front brakes and 40% rear brakes. Therefore, they do not wear out as quickly. Is this your observation and reason for asking the question? Second, if your rear brakes really are not working, you will experience a longer distance to come to a complete stop. Are you experiencing this? If so, then you really do have a problem with your rear brakes. You will have to check that the brake fluid is flushed (old brake fluid gathers moisture from the air and does not work as well) and you will have to check to see if any of the rear brake parts are "frozen" -stuck in place so that they do not squeeze the brake drum or disk. Please let me know how it goes. Your colleague in New Jersey

Why would the brake light stay on in 1999 Chevy cavalier z24 even if the brake is disengaged?
After replacing rear brakes the brakes are now squishy How do you fix this problem?
Bleed the rear brakes and add new brake fluid. Typically the brakes feeling as if they give too much or "squishy" is from small air bubbles in the brake line...so by bleeding and adding new fluid you let out the small bubbles which cause the squishiness. When you changed the brakes many people tend to hit the line as well as not clamp them properly and therefore render the brakes "squishy". Hope this helps. J

Your rear wheels are locking up when brakes are applied?
Rear calibers or wheel cylinders are sticking. This is most often due to brake fluid that is contaminated with moisture. This moisture will cause internal parts to rust. Replace the rear calibers/wheel cylinders and replace the brake fluid with fresh fluid from an unopened can. It can also be a defective proportioning valve.
