I presume you mean for medical imaging. X-rays are ideal because they penetrate (1) skin and muscle fairly easily but (2) bone with difficulty. As such, radiologists can examine bone structure inside a body.

Alpha particles and beta particle can not do (1).

Gamma rays do (1) extremely well, but also blast through bone as well. They blast through organic tissue so well that they are quite dangerous to any life on Earth.

What radiation type has the greatest ability to penetrate human tissue?

Gamma radiation. Alpha radiation is the least penetrating, beta radiation penetrates and lasts longer than alpha but also "dies out" relatively quickly, but Gamma radiation will not only penetrate deep, but it will also stay long.

Beta radiation used rather than alpha or gamma radiation in this paper thickness equipment?

beta radiation used in this paper thickness equipment because alpha and gamma are very strong radiation which can not be used for paper thickness equipment such as paper are used by every one and it could cause radiation if other nuclear radiation like alpha and gamma are used.

Are xrays also gamma rays?

No; gamma rays are considered a separate category of radiation, more energetic than x-rays.

Is Alpha Beta or gamma made from electrons?

Beta radiation is made from electrons (or positrons for inverse beta radiation). Alpha radiation is a helium nucleus, and gamma radiation is a high energy electromagnetic ray.
