This, as one is reading the book, is derived from mechanical drafting ( Front to Back or Back to Front perspective) and also the musical device Da Capo- back to the head, or beginning, do not confuse with reruns and synopses. It is common in biography, May Mann"s book on Jayne Mansfield begins with her (Mansfield"s) tragic death and sequelae- and then how author May Mann plunged into the biographical task- then proceeded along re-constructing Jayne"s life. This was also done with Least Of All Saints, about Aimee Semple Mcpherson, it begins with her elaborate funeral, and then works back. many readers are keen on how the subjects die anyhow- and of course Newspaper obituaries have used this tactic since the late thirties, first the facts of the death and age of the subject, then a capsule biography. not a bad idea.
Most memoirs use chronological order because it helps readers follow the author's life story in a logical and cohesive way. This structure allows for a natural progression of events, from childhood to adulthood, providing insight into the author's growth and development over time. Additionally, chronological order helps create a sense of continuity and context for the reader.
Because It is important to show readers all the facts of the story when they happened. So they can get a clear view of what lead up to certain events.
Chronological order
I put the chapters of my book in chronological order
I have trouble with chronological order in school like that.
Not necessarily. While some memoirs are told in chronological order, others may use flashbacks or a non-linear structure to emphasize themes or highlight specific events in the author's life. The choice of structure depends on the author's storytelling style and the narrative they want to convey.
I was asked to do a worksheet; I had to cut out the steps to plant a garden and put them in chronological order. And by the way, Chronological order is two words, not one. :)
Chronological Thinking.
Sometimes I see "please list in chronological order," and I understand it means to write in order of time.
chronological order=order by time in which the event happenedPut the events of Romeo and Juliet in chronological orderas the events occurred in the play.
Chronological means in the correct order of time. Therefore, you could use a sentence such as: 'List the events in chronological order.' or 'The information was in the form of a chronological timeline' though in the second example it is largely unnessecary, some people like to use big words to make themselves look better :)
Order? When telling about an event or about a certain period of time.
You can use "chronological" to indicate the time order in which something happened.
