When a dog needs to regurgitate it needs fluid in the stomach to intice the muscle spasms and lubricate the whole throat food pipe etc which is why the nose gets dry and the tongue hense the licking

Your dog noses are actually supposed to be wet like you said if they are dry they can be sick or depressed but if you have a dog that its nose has been dry
for awhile try to figure out why Yea, if it has been dry for awhile you might want to see a vet about it.
