It's because of were they lived. In Africa, the sun is very hot and they were less coverings, this caused them to develop darker skin to prevent sun burn and use this sun to produce vitamin B. In the north, (Europe) They had to cover up from the cold, meaning less sun so our skin became more pale, because of no interaction with the sun.
The first family of Homo-Sapien Sapiens were dark-skinned people or what is know as Black people today!

Some people are black because of their ethic groups. Some africans, an ethnic group usually with black people in it, have white people born because of a skin disorder called albino.
People everywhere in the world have evolved to fit their environments. People in northern climates where the sun shines on the snow have smaller eyes to keep from going snowblind. Some people have adapted to warmer areas, causing darker skin.
The so-called "Negro" (Spanish term meaning black) are actually "brown-skinned" and not "black". While white people are actually "white" which denotes "albinism", the "absent of color". During the 1970's, the so-called "Negro"changed their racial identity from Negro to "African American" to "Black-American", and later, to simply "blacks".
Therefore, 'blacks' have continued to use that "adjective" has their ethinic identiy, mainly because they are not conscious, or aware, of their true identity, having been subjected to racial "identity theif" during the slave period in the Americus.
During the early period of my life, it was commonly taught that God turned Ham black, in reference to Noah's Biblical sexual deviant Curse. Nevertheless, the reason that the Biblical Hamites (secular Khemites) have darker skin color than any orther racial group on Earth, is because their functional peni'El gland produce more melanin than any other group.
In spite of Darwinist fraudulent 'Darwin's Machiavellian ReversEvolution Conspiracy',the first humans on the face of this earth were "dark-skinned" because their fully functional "peni'EL gland"(called pine'al gland by Caucasians) produced an abundant amount of "melanin", more than any other so-called racial groups. While the peni'El gland is responsible for "Conscienceness", it also controls the sex-chromosomes, and controls all of the other glands that are found in the bodies of humans and animals.
In addition, skin color is determined by the amount of melan found in the body. The first human had the most melanin, and therefore, darker-skin, because they had to pass melanin down to orther groups through the genes, during the "descent of man". In addition, as man descended, he lost melanin (not gained it), therefore, the first man had the most melanin, and the darker skin-color, while the last humans to descend peni'El gland became calcified, and therefore, produced little, or no melanin. This state is referred to as "albinism" or "white".
In addition, not only did man's skin-color change during the evoltionary process,
the color of his hair also changed from black to blonde, and his upper lip began to disapear. However, their is only one (1) race of humans, regardless of physical charisteristics.

As the emergence of homosapiens developed in the East African regions, humans evolved to adapt to the elements with dark pigmented skin to protect them from the sun, which is amongst the hottest regions in the world.

To maintain and honor their ancestry and their current life the phrase African-American was created. They started out as Africans and became Americans - with African descent.
