pumpkins are used to either make pumpkin juice or pie! and they are also used at halloween. you empty the inside of the pumpkin then you carve a face on the out side and put a small candle inside so it lights up(:

∙ 12y agoBelieve it or not, turnips were used for Jack-o'-Lanterns before pumpkins. When the tradition of the Jack-o'-Lantern went from Europe to the US, pumpkins were more readily available than turnips and were larger, allowing for easier carving. That's why the pumpkin is used today.
