Keeping your cat(s) indoors can be helpful but always has it's bad side. Keeping your cat inside is a good idea if you live next to a busy highway or woods with coyotes and other predators that may hunt cats. It also lowers to chance of catching diseases from other cats. Keeping your cat has it's down side too. The first thing you may want to do is de-claw your cat to prevent it from ruining furniture and curtains. A litter box is also another reason why keeping your cat inside. Maintaining a litter box is not a definition of fun, it is stinky, sometimes back breaking and is rather messy.
