to cool the coolant in the engine
Look either at the rear side of radiator approx. 1/3 down from the top or at the thermostat housing
Super Fans - 2000 was released on: USA: 15 March 2000
If it is a V6, it is located in front between engine and the cooling fans.
It needs to get to a certain temperature for a certaing amount of time for the fans to turn on. When the temp has cooled down enough, the fans will turn back off.
Most likely you have overheating, that's why the keeps running. You need to check the temperature control sensor and the thermostat.
Be sure the cooling fans are operational and that there is no debris (leaves ect.) blocking the flow of air through the radiator.
By running right.
your thermostat may have gone bad and is stuck in the closed position when the car reaches operating temp. check to see if the fans click on, if not carefully squeeze (it will be hot!) the large radiator hose (aka water inlet hose) if it squeezes easily with no resistance the coolant is not circulating properly and your thermostat needs replaced. if it seems solid but the fans are not running the switch on the fans will need replaced and/or the fans themselves. if the fans are running and water is circulating you may have build up in the in the cooling system and need to flush the radiator
Fuses. If fuses OK, read PCM datastream.
No, they are two seperate sensors.
Can be the fan motor is defective, thermal relay is bad, fuse blown, or loose connection.
