That is totally incorrect. The "guy" that created Bratz dolls created them while working for Mattel. He presented the idea to the company but they weren't interested. He then went to work for MGA, bringing the concept with him. MGA produced the doll, but because the concept was created while the "guy" worked for Mattell they had ownership of it.

∙ 13y agoThey didn't go out of business. They have a new line of bratz dolls for there 10th anniversery. There new line is called Passion for Fashion . they are coming out on 10/10/10 (October 10th ,2010).

∙ 14y agoin a nutshell, the person that invented bratz worked for mattel at the time he thought of the idea, so mattel sued mga for "stealing their idea." personally, i think they just wanted to find a way to make bratz go out of business.
ps. i heard (this isn't confirmed yet) that bratz appealed the judge's ruling and mga won the appeal case, so bratz will be sold again, hopefully!
