when there is a cut the white blood cells quickly get there then engulf them when they enter the body and also release antitoxins to destroy the toxins the pathogens release then the plasm from the blood creates a coat of plasm to stop bacteria and pathogens entering the body and wearing a plaster with some antiseptic cream will sought the job out just as well

I am assuming by it you mean the human body. Technically speaking white blood cells are not specialized to prevent bacteria from entering the human body, we have plenty of other mechanisms that can help with that. However, once these bacteria enter your body they quite possibly can cause some serious harm. This is where white blood cells come in handy. They are specially designed to destroy these bacterium as well as any other foreign entity in your body. Since there are five different types of white blood cells, or leukocytes, I can't go into great detail about each one. However, you can think of a white blood cells a bit like Pac-Man. Their main job, again, depending on which type, is to phage, or eat, bacteria, viruses, fungi, or any other foreign entity. They are mouths and nothing more and only rarely can they not ingest something. I hope that answered your question!
