A 1994 Cadillac Deville that has an engine surging problem and is stalling out can indicate it is not getting enough fuel. The fuel filter may be clogged.
First you need to give a little more info. Will engine crank or not, is engine getting fuel.
02 cadillac deville wont crank or start the entire dashboard illuminates and everything work when the switch is on seems like it wants to crank but doesnt. I had a problem for years with my 1991 Caddy and kept changing starters for a while. My problem was that I wasn't getting a good read on the security chip in the key. Next time it happens: turn it off, take the key out, wait at least three minutes and try again. Check your manual to see if that is still the procedure. By the way I decided to live with it. Every start is a roll of the dice.
Most likely it is the front axle joint
Is this a Northstar 4.6? if so.....I have never found a petcock on one. There is a threaded plug on drivers side at bottom.....good luck getting to it while in car.
It tells you how much gas you have left and app. what gas mileage you are getting. ALSO If you hold down the leftmost and rightmost button at the same time, the Cadillac will tell you it's engine oil life in percentage form!
Possibly the fuel pump is overheating and shutting down, or the fuel pressure regulator is the problem.
Well... mines doing the same thing. 88 sedan deville, 4.5 ltr v8. It turns over but I watch and nothing is coming through the injectors... no fuel. It happens off and on, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I think it might be the fuel filter but i can't find that thing.
The main window fuse could be bad. Or, the power window relay could be bad. The most common problem is a wiring problem (loose connection, broken wire) keeping the system from getting power.
I have an 03 deville and found my blower motor under the dash on the passenger side. It was intermiitant so I took it out and cleaned it. Works fine but I am planning on getting a new one as the brushes are close to worn out. I would advise you do the same
It is most likely the fuel relay, which is located in the fuse box under the hood.If not itcould be a number of simple things : the car needs a tune up, the fuel pump, even check and make sure it is getting air. All of these are a good idea to check out!
You might have 2 problems. 1) The radios are VIN specific and so to get it unlocked you have to go to the dealer and have them program your VIN in the replacement radio, could be $10 to $75 depending on your dealer. 2) If you are trying to put a CD/Cass. in where there was just a plain cassette, it won't work anyway, the cassette player is internally amped, the CD/Cass. has an external amp, so if that is your situation, don't waste your money getting it unlocked.
To have a gps navigation system on a motorcycle's dashboard is not unheard of because even motorcyclists would need to know where there are in case of getting lost.
My 1991 cadillac fleetwood gets 17.5 to 18 mpg on average. Atleast that's what my car tells me it's getting.
1 of a 100 but the 1st to check . BAD THERMOSTAT
The Cadillac Escalade is a very nice and well thought of SUV for people to drive. Cadillac enjoys an excellent reputation for both quality and design. If you enjoy a large vehicle that you can fit your entire family in as well as the luxury that Cadillac is know for, it is a good choice.
The best place to look for a used Cadillac is through a reputable Cadillac reseller or dealership. By doing so, you're protecting yourself and your purchase with a warranty and guaranteeing that you're getting a car that will be reliable.
my 1997 cadillac deville also runs at 205-220 and it hasn't overheated yet,but you should also know that the cooling fans don't even kick on until the engine temp reaches 222 degrees>>just to let you know. I'm not sure but mine runs between 206 and 219 and seems to be okay with it.
Check the starter solenoid first, followed by the starter. The starter is either not getting power from the solenoid or the starter itself is bad.
well...the SNOOP DEVILLE is by far the best caddy on the road. it's bumpin!! the trumpet!! 1990 was a long time ago, if your AC gauge isn't showing up you should just fire it. YOU'RE FIRED!!
It is attached just above the oil filter. You will need to put the front on jack stands. It is hard to remove and you need a sensor removal socket ($10 at autozone). The hard part is getting the plug off first. I am changing this now and when successful, will post full instructions.
The battery light will be illuminated on the dashboard and later the battery will go flat as it is not getting charged Garages can check this for you if your battery is frequently getting flat.
Find out where it is getting in. More than likely the seal is bad.
by getting a Bars Leakradiator leak at walmart
I was consistently getting 30 miles per gallon on the highway at 65 miles per hour during many 500 mile trips between homes. Then, I had an engine tune up because I detected a slight roughness in the idle. Mileage was still good. I had new plugs and wires. Bad idea. Now my highway mileage is 22 miles per gallon and the engine knocks badly. It was a 91 Deville with 4.9 engine and 75,000 miles on it. I guess I should have taken it to the dealer for the tune up.
