"there orange"
I believe it has to do with something to the effects of, they are chemically blue but the human eye registers them as orange.... There where other example given but this is the most talked about one.
If anyone is curious... I found it and the answers is: Yes, oranges are really blue. The color we see any object, is the color that is not absorbed by the object. It is the color that it reflects ( in essence rejects) The color we see is not truly a part of the object, any more than an object that we see in a mirror is part of the mirror. The true color is the color the object absorbs and is the contrast of the color seen. Therefore oranges are blue (acttally bluish green :)) Grass is not green it is orange etc etc...
Because, Orange growers spray them with Ethylene Gas; Which kills something in them , and that's what makes them Orange.
Because it is.
Oranges are always orange.
Because oranges have always been oranges since the dawn of it's own very existance. For what is an orange without itself being an orange?
Oranges usually have seeds and of course orange juice. The juice is not always sweet , it can be quiet sour.
The colour orange hasn't always had its own name, as it used to just be a shade of red. I would say that the colour orange was named after the fruit, as it has been around longer than the colour itself has been individual.
The plural of orange is oranges.
yes, blood oranges have mostly red rather than orange flesh on the inside
"Seedless oranges" actually aren't always completely seedless. Some of them have seeds, so you would plant those and then get your "seedless" orange tree.
Not always, but sometimes. There are some oranges that are perfectly ripe and delicious but have a more pale yellowish color, and a food grade dye is used on them to make them more orange.
Obviously not. Oranges are orange.
