This is not legal advice and should not be relied upon as such. Consult the specific laws for the state and county in which you reside for the rules that apply. In most states, any 18 year old is considered an adult and is capable of deciding when and where they reside. They have the ability to contract for housing. SOME states allow minors to become emancipated under specific circumstances, but this is not just a matter of filling out some paperwork. A minor is the responsibility of their parents until such time as they reach the age of majority or are legally emancipated. The parents are required to provide for the support of their minor children. If the parents give permission, the minor can live in another location. Such permission does not relieve the parents of the responsibility to provide support. If the parents do not give permission, the minor can be considered a runaway. Charges may apply to individuals that aid and abet such runaways, particularly if they are under the age of consent. In some states it is my understanding that this is not enforced for 17 year olds that leave home. If you are subject to abuse, you should contact social services for your area. They will assist you in getting out of the bad environment and into a safe place. You cannot legally move out in any state without parental consent until you reach the age of majority. In Nebraska and Alabama the age of majority is 19, in Mississippi and Washington D.C. the age is 21, in all other US states the age of majority is 18. A minor can leave home against the wishes of his or her parents, but parents in all US states have legal recourse to have the minor returned to their custody or be relieved of their parental responsibilities to their minor child.

no you cant you need to wait until you 18
Well...i know you can move out at age seventeen in the state of Georgia and the police cant do anything about it! :c)....
You can move out with parental permission. That does not relieve your parents of the responsibility for your welfare.
why cant you move out at 17 you are just a year younger then when you can move out. Why cant a 17 year old date some one over the age of 19 sericely it are on desizen back of you will lose your kid if you dont trust my i now.
NO
Because you are not an adult. Until then, your parents are responsible for you and your actions.
you cant. You can move out at the age of 17 but the parents are able to go to court to get you back....after 18 you can move out permanently
no he/she cant do that
well it depends on where you live if you live somewhere that say when your 17 to can live your parents really cant tell you to come back. there is no that can help you move out legeally.
your parents cant call the cops as i dont think you need permission at 17 to move out! hope it all goes well
i think you can because your mom cant tell you who to date and who you cant spend the rest of your life with and possibly if you and your mom don't get along.
