An ohmmeter works by applying a voltage, and measuring the corresponding current. This is an application of Ohm's law: resitance = voltage / current.
Never connect the ohmmeter's leads across a voltage. On an analog meter, adjust the zero before use.Turn your ohmmeter off when not in use, to protect against voltage drain. When your ohmmeter's battery is low, or your meter won't be used for a while, remove the battery to prevent damage to the meter from battery leakage.
The battery is used by the meter to apply a voltage across the resistance being measured and determine the current which determines the resistance. If there is no battery it can't supply the voltage and can't measure current, so no reading.
you cant because the battery wont be useable anymore :D
1). Assure a fresh battery in the meter. (A digital ohmmeter with a low battery will often display a reading as if it's the honest truth, when it's actually a completely bogus measurement.) 2). Use the smallest scale possible, i.e. the lowest scale that's larger than the resistance under test.
One way to check the CDI on an alternator is to use an ohmmeter. If you do not know how to use an ohmmeter, you may be better off by taking your vehicle to a repair shop to look at the alternator.
Voltmeter connect in parallel with the circuit setting on voltmeter highest range first then to lower range. Ohmmeter we need to use the ohmmeter meter setting connect across the resistor

To determine if a capacitor is defective, use an Ohmmeter of a Multimeter.
You have to let it charge to full battery first then use it.
Yes you can use a nokia sim card in a samsung just u cant cahange your battery!
An ohmmeter is used to check continuity and resistance. An unfavorable use would be to connect the meter to any power. Unless the meter has a safety feature, connecting it to any type of power will damage the meter.
