hi my name is noela. I am in the 5th grade. My teacher just taught us about why two similar species cannot have the same niche.
The reason is.........................................................................................
Two similar species cannot have the same niche because in order to have the same niche those two species would have to have to be identical. But no to species are identical so no to species can have the same niche. in order for it to be identical those two similar species would have to eat the same food, be eaten by the same predators, they would have to live in the same area, they would have to reproduce in the same ways, they would have to grow under the same temperature etc. etc.

They would outcompete each other for access to food and resouces.
This is the Theory of Competitive Exclusion. The limited resources in an ecosystem must be partitioned between two species in some way otherwise they would be competing "head to head" for all their life's needs, and this would be a serious waste of their energy.
Two species can occupy the same niche. Interspecific competition is responsible for the resulting relative abundances (# of each organism) in the community.
because of the competitive exclusion principle
it leads to competition for resources since they are similar or identical because of same niche
They can share the same habitat because some animals live in the same houses and they cant share the same niche because their different animals . =) and that's the answer .
well i mean you cant really create a species without some glue and hard work.
They can, and we believe that they do. That's how all the animals (including the human animal) got to be the way they are.
Cell organelles such as nucleus, centioles are absent annd hence cant reproduce.
Because coconuts grow on palms, not trees.
There is massive competition for resources resulting in one of the two species being driven away or made extinct.
It cannot live on Mercury because the atmosphere is too tenuous.

How would we know that? we cant go into the future, now can we. plz think before you type. ;)
you cant they are wide species
i cant recall learning it
You cannot sell NATIVE species of salamander. This is to prevent people from exploiting native populations to make a profit. It is perfectly legal to sell exotic non-native species. This same rule holds true for most states.
If the species environment is not the way the species needs it to survive then the species will become extinct. for example, if doesn't have any trees, then it cant survive.
