I have a older version of directcd and with that you can use it like a a:\ disk. I am not sure if this works the same or not. (If you want to delete the files a cd-wr disk works better.) http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/directcd/
Drag and drop features are not available in Google Docs for opening a file.
No. Drag and drop is when you drag a file then drop it into the destination folder. You have moved a file from one place to another. Copy and paste is when you copy a file then paste it into a different location. The original file still remains where it was, but there is how a copy of it elsewhere as well.

Yes, but only if the disk is formatted with a smaller number of bytes per sector.
it might be that the file/object (s) you are trying to drag and drop can not be dragged and dropped in the place you are dropping them.
Actually, you do not always have to format it first; many disks come "pre-formatted." A disk needs to be formatted with a file system so that the operating system can arrange data on it.
Where you drag from one folder to another on the same drive, Windows interprets this as a CUT/PASTE command and moves the file from one folder to the other. Where you drag a file to a folder on another drive, Windows interprets this as a COPY/PASTE command and creates a duplicate of the file in the target folder.

A disk cluster is a location on a disk's surface that stores data. Most disks are divided into platters/cylinders, tracks, and sectors, and sectors are grouped into clusters when formatted with a file system.
