Not the Atomic Mass but the mass number (of course, these values are similar - not identical).
The mass number is the sum between the number of protons and the number of neutrons. As a consequence:
Number of neutrons for an isotope = Mass number - Number of protons
The number of protons is equal to the atomic number.

Because the atomic mass is the number of protons plus the number of neutrons and the atomic number is the number of protons. Subtract the protons, that leaves the neutrons.
