Best Answer

they have gills not lungs

Some species have both. Betta fish, for example, have an organ called the "Labyrinth, that allow them to breathe air. Snakeheads can also breathe air, which led to the belief that they can live on land for three days. Other fish can breathe air as well. It allows this fish to live in water with lower oxygen supply, where many fish would drown. (I know, it's weird to talk about fish drowning...)

A mammal.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Do not listen to him. A mammal is an animal that is warm blooded, gives birth to live young and normally has fur or whiskers.

Animals that live out of water are Land Dwellers.

Animals that live in both are Amphibious.

Animals that live in the air are still land dwellers, because they do not live in water and will eventually have to land from flight.

Thank you.

(If this is too late then PLEASE ignore it.)

Fish breathe by water moving over their gills. When they either stop moving in the water or leave the water, then the water doesnt move over their gills and they asphixiate.
