It a protection that way u won't damage the transmission
Hoe a train moves.
I would replace the neutral safety switch; Buy it from the Ford dealer where they can print out the picture of it along with its location. I hope this helps you. Mark
pres the brake until it moves
it have locks
You need to check with the landlord about that. You cant just change the locks on a property that you do not own.
I was told by my mechanic that the transmission hesitating after putting it in drive after reversing is a sign of the transmisison dying. ---------- Check transmission fluid. When the fluid is low there is not enough in the torque converter, so when you go to reverse or drive you have to rev the engine before it moves to compensate for less fluid in the torque converter.
add transmission fluid
reverse faults move from compression when the hanging wall moves up
A reverse fault is a fault in which the hanging wall moves up relative to the footwall.
I was hoping someone would ask me that. I have a 96 mark viii - i bought it for $1500 (Awesome condition everything worked perfect.) After about 8 months of racing random cars everyday, the car would shake violently in and out of gears - and eventually drive turned into neutral. You MAY have a linkage problem, but not likely with a mark viii as it is not a common problem. If your car goes into reverse and moves but does not in drive - then your transmission is no good. I did this with mine (found out later that the one i had was not original). Check out question "How to change transmission in mark 8" describes how it is done exactly.
Yes, unless he/she owns the house.
I have a similar issue my '88 accord LXI automatic does not have reverse and it grinds in park and drive. Told the shift fork in the transmission and shift for bushing are going out and the tranny needed to be rebiult
