Because when Voldermort first tried to kill Harry his mother sacrficed herself for him. It's a little complicated and mabe you'll be confused. Dumbledore said because of love, Lily (Harrys mom) gave herself up which is love. Everything Harrys mother had is now in Harry which is very powerful.

∙ 12y agobecause harry was the owner of the elder wand which voldemort used to use (he took from dumbledore) and that wand never bterayed his master ,so the spell got reflected and voldemort died
