God did not kill everyone. I believe your question is "why does everyone have to die?" The answer is found in Genesis and throughout The Bible. Adam and Eve were given the opportunity to live in the Garden of Eden, free from pain, sorrow and even death. They were given the instruction to not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Eve was deceived by the serpent and ate and then Adam ate. They were cast out of the garden into the world we now know, full of sorrow, pain, sickness and death. The bible says that "all have sinned (broken God's law) and fallen short of the glory of God." Also it says that "the wages of sin is death." Further it says "it is appointed for a man once to die and then the judgment." This is why everyone must die. Because of sin.

I cannot say all of this though without finishing the story. God, through His mercy and grace, sent His Son, Jesus the Christ, to pay for the sins of men (Jesus' coming was predicted exactly in the Old Testament prophesies). So that anyone who accepts Jesus as the payment for their sins and asks Him to be the Lord of their life will not have to die for good. They must die in this life because of the sin but they will rise again and live in His kingdom forever. In this kingdom, things will be restored to how they were meant to be (and better). There will be no sorrow, nor pain, nor death. Only happiness and peace. No worrying about money or corrupt governments or paying your bills or global turmoil. The bible says that God himself will wipe away all tears.

I hope this helps answer the question. This is a very brief answer and theologians have written volumes on this topic. I hope all who read this will explore further through the Holy Bible. Blessings to you.

This seems a good time to point out that scientists have found no evidence of Noah's Flood. And to point out that the biblical story of Noah's Flood contains so many parallels to the more ancient Epic of Gilgamesh that scholars believe that the story in the Bible was really based on the story in the Epic of Gilgamesh.

The story of the biblical Flood is pure legend. God did not murder anyone.

God didn't kill everybody. Noah and his family, the only ones who were following God, were kept alive.

^Only ones who were following God.

No one else was staying true to God, so He started the human race over.

AnswerThe Bible tells us that the earth was ''filled with violence'' and that ''every thought of man's heart was only evil continually.'' Mankind had thus generally, with the exception of Noah and his family, degenerated to such an extent that change and improvement to a better situation was not possible.

Jehovah (God) destroyed the Earth since man grew very unrighteous in his eyes. See, angels from heaven came down to the Earth because they saw the beautiful women. These women, in turn, bore children how grew up to be bullies. They were very strong, feared, men. They were sometimes over eight feet high. They would mug and kill people. Since Jehovah did not like this, he was going to destroy all wicked kind. So he told Noah to build an oblong box, an ark made of resinous trees. It came to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide, and thirty cubit high. ( A cubit is about 17 inches.) And so Noah, his wife, and his three sons with their wives, took seven of the clean animals for sacrifice, and two of every other animal. No animal was left out. But while they built the ark, they also preached to the townspeople. But none of them listened and they all drowned. And Jehovah promised to never destroy the Earth with water again. The rain bow served as a sign of the promise.

God felt regret for making man. Only Noah and his family were saved because they still put faith in God. Noah even asked God if he could find even one other person that had faith would he not cause the flood. Nobody listened to Noah so God caused the flood.

The answer is in Genesis chapter 6:

Gen 6:5,6,7 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the LORD said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them."
